When you place an order on our website, your credit card numbers are encrypted using 128/256 bit encryption by PayPal.

Your credit card details are only decrypted after they reach PayPal’s systems, where they are then automatically processed and your card charged. They are not held in clear text on any web site so it is not possible for your details to be stolen during a transaction.

We at Shibui Nails never receive your complete credit card details or keep such information anywhere in our systems.

Returns and Refunds:

Our return policy is for 15 days. While we set-up our return policy to reflect purchase date (not delivery date) to return date (not return ship date), we try to remain flexible when at all possible.  Returned items must be:

  • Unopened or in NEW condition just as you received it

  • Not be marred or adulterated in any way

  • Accompanied by a copy of the receipt

  • May be returned only after approval from Shibui Nails by phone or email.

Deviations from the above conditions may result in a partial or no refund or credit.  We do not accept returns on the following:

  • Gift cards. Gift cards never expire but are not available for refund. 

Items to be returned are shipped at the customer’s expense. Customers will not be reimbursed for shipping costs unless pre-approved in writing by Shibui management. 

All returned items are subject to inspection at Shibui in order to determine the amount of the refund or credit to be authorized. Please understand that we are a business and try to avoid being impersonal; however, we must be consistent as possible with our policy.  As mentioned above, exceptions may be made but exceptions are not the rule.  

If a refund is issued, it will be made to you in the same format that we received the payment.  This means that if the purchase was made on your VISA card, we will issue the refund back to the VISA card.  If a store credit is issued, the store credit will be treated the same as a gift card and will not expire. 

Sale items (if applicable):

Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges (if applicable):

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you, may vary.

If you are shipping an item over 50, you should consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
